Day 01: Arrive Delhi
Arrive in Delhi ay IGI Airport, where an Indian Horizons representative will be waiting to escort you to your hotel. Delhi, the capital of India is a perfect blend of tradition and modernity. With a number of monuments and gardens, Delhi won’t fail to enchant you. Check in at the hotel for an overnight stay in Delhi.
Day 02: In Delhi
Second day of your Golden Triangle Tour with South India starts with a healthy breakfast followed by a sightseeing tour. You will be watching the Secretariat buildings, Parliament House and Presidential Palace along the Vijay Chowk. Also, visit India Gate that commemorates Indian and British soldiers who dies in the World War. You will then visit the Qutub Minar, built in 1193 and the majestic Humayun’s Tomb situated in the enchanting Persian paradise gardens.
Have fun passing through the narrow of colorful bazaars of Old Delhi like Chandni Chowk and Karol Bagh. Pay visits to the ancient temples and also visit the Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Raj Ghat and other fascinating places. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Delhi.
Day 03: Delhi - Agra
In the morning you will drive to Agra, at a distance of 210 kms from Delhi. Arrive in Agra and check in at the hotel. In the afternoon proceed for a sightseeing tour with an Indian Horizons guide. Visit the most famous Taj Mahal, which is counted in the Seven Wonders of the World. More than 20,000 laborers constructed Taj Mahal, a monument of love built by Shah Jahan for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal.
Later visit the magnificent Agra Fort that comprises of Diwan-e-Am, Shah Jahani Mahal, Macchi Bhavan and other mosques and royal pavilions. Rooms at Agra Fort are cool as the walls are hollow and filled with running water. Watch clear views of Taj Mahal and Yamuna River from the balconies of Agra Fort. Day 04: Agra - Jaipur
On the 4th day of your Golden Triangle Tour with South India you will leave for Jaipur. On your way visit Fatehpur Sikri, at a distance of 40 kms from Agra. Built by Emperor Akbar in 1569, Fatehpur Sikri is made up of red sandstone. Visit the mosques, ruins and palace at Fatehpur Sikri. Visit the Jama Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chisti and Panch Mahal Palace in Fatehpur Sikri. Later arrive in Jaipur and check in at the hotel. Have an overnight stay in Jaipur.
Day 05: In Jaipur
Post buffet breakfast at the hotel go on a city sightseeing tour of Jaipur. Move towards the ancient capital of Amber to explore the majestic Amber Fort. Constructed by Maharaja Mansingh in the 17th century, Amber Fort is worth visiting during Golden Triangle with Bollywood Tour. Enjoy an elephant ride at Amber. Day 06: Jaipur - Delhi
On the 6th day of your South India Golden Triangle Tour you will leave for Delhi by road. Arrive in Delhi and check in at the hotel. Spend the rest of the day relaxing in Delhi. Have an overnight stay.
Day 07: Delhi - Chennai
In the morning you will depart for Chennai by air. Arrive in Chennai and get transferred to the hotel. Post lunch in the afternoon you will proceed on a city tour of Chennai with an Indian Horizons guide. Earlier called Madras, Chennai is rich in culture and heritage. Visit places like Fort St. George and watch out the wall paintings of the British regime. Then visit St. Mary’s Church that was built in 1678. Afterwards you will drive to Kapaleshwara Temple, a Shiva Temple and then drive along the Marine Beach, known as the second longest beach in the world. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Chennai.
Day 08: In Chennai (Visit Kanchipuram)
On the 8th day of your Golden Triangle Tour with South India, you will drive along the coastal route to enjoy a full day excursion in Kanchipuram. Kanchipuram is known for its shrines and temples. Pay a visit to Kailashnath Temple and Ekambareswar Temple and the Varadarajaswamy Temple. Return to Chennai for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 09: Chennai - Mahabalipuram
Go on a morning drive to Mahabalipuram, located at a distance of 60 kms from Chennai. Mahabalipuram is known for its stone carvers. Visit the Arjuna’s Penance, Krishna Mandapam, Shore Temples and Varaha Mandapam in Mahabalipuram. Try purchasing beautiful stone carvings here. Have an overnight stay in Mahabalipuram itself.
Day 10: Mahabalipuram - Pondicherry

Day 11: Pondicherry - Tanjore

Day 13: Trichy - Madurai
Today you will drive to Madurai, at a distance of 192 kms. In the afternoon you will visit the ruins of the Tirumal Nayak Palace and Meenakshi Temple, the most famous temple in South India dedicated to Sri Meenakshi, the consort of Lord Shiva. Meenakshi Temple complex is one of the main attractions in Madurai. Have a look at the architecture and museums of the temple. The temple is surrounded by 5 gopurams, which are known for the Stuccowork. Meenakshi Temple is also a famous tourist landmark apart from being just a temple.
Later you will visit the Thirumala Nayak Palace, famous for its arches and domes. In the evening you may revisit the beautiful Meenakshi Temple and be a part of the worship “Aarti”. Have an overnight stay in Madurai.
Day 14: Departure Madurai
